Dr. Frenette basically butchered a very close friend of mine. I stand by this review. He did a breast reduction and an infection developed which he did not treat properly. He didn't even take a culture. By the time we actually got to proper doctors who specialized in infections, there was so much damage already done, both physical and psychological. Throughout the ordeal, Dr. Frenette's atitude was condescending and extremely arrogant, in my view. A local attorney thought this was a worthwhile case to pursue for medical malpractice (extremely difficult in Quebec) but my friend could not afford it. I have been going to Dr. Kelleher for more than 10 years now and she is a great doctor. She listens to what you are saying to her and is very knowledgable. She is not a pill pusher but sincerely tries to find the best possible course of treatment for whatever may ail you. Ihave found some doctors in the past would rather just hand you a prescription and send you out the door. She never disregards any complaints and you feel like she sincerely is there to help. When I was 17 I broke my nose and had rhinoplasty a year later. It was a failure and that doctor left the country after botching a few surgeries. I was left with a crooked stuffed nose for 12 years. I finally decided to get it looked at. I was sent to a doctor Tse, who wasn't very confident about it. We were going to go ahead, and then he told me he was leaving the country. He referred me to dr. Naysmith. I am sooo glad I was passed off! Dr. Naysmith did a much better evaluation and has added two crucial elements to the surgery to actually help me breath better AND have a better looking nose. I'm on medical EI for something else, so he squeezed me in with 2 weeks notice! I've never had the medical system move so quickly. I'm going in on the 18th. Dr.Naysmith did my bilateral breast augmentation 2 weeks ago, and I have to say, I have NEVER had a better medical experience than with him, and his AMAZING nurse, Diane.Wow.I am truly amazed at the care and consideration that I received.What a wonderful man he is. What a wonderful woman Diane is. I felt completely confident in Dr.Naysmith's abilities and he absolutely exceeded every expectation that I had. He is kind, gentle, and he LISTENS like no other doctor I have ever met. Diane is sweet, caring, and really does everything she can to make you comfortable. She came to my house in the evening the day of the surgery to check on me and give me a shot of morphine (SO wonderful), and was very helpful in explaining after-care to my mom and husband. Honestly, if you are getting any kind of plastic surgery choose Dr.Naysmith, you will not be disappointed. HE IS THE BEST THERE IS, even all the staff at the surgery centre told me that. This dr excised a cyst from above my hairline in her office. The 1st appt I had to leave b/c she had 3x booked her appts & I couldn't wait any longer after an hour past my appt time. The second appt still late, but not as long. The surgery was horrendous. She was rushed & I bled way more than she expected. It was right b/f lunch & I was bleeding heavily but she still just stitched me up & rushed me out of the office so she & her recpt could go for lunch. Thank god I had a scarf to wrap around my head b/c I am blond and my hair was saturated with blood. The next day, I developed a massive bleed under my scalp which drained into my forehead & the front of my face. I looked like an alien. Her office was closed & I had no way to contact her. I couldn't go to work or leave the house. I ended up at a walk in clinic & was told to go to the ER because I might need surgery to stop the bleeding. It took a week to look normal. I am thrilled and can wear clothes I couldn't as a 20 y.o. Support staff were very patient. He is getting on in years, though, so I'm not sure how much longer he'll be practicing. Dr. wolfli is an exeptional surgeon. He did my 2nd and third surgery and when i bent the pin there was nothing to be said he totally understood. Dr. Chong surpassed all my expectations. I realize that everyone can have bad days (as can Dr. Chong) but he really did his best even when he was very busy to take care of me in the best possible fashion at all times. I had breast augmentation surgery and my results are spectacular. His first consultation took almost an hour but he explained how the surgery was done, where the surgery was done, what kind of implants he used and all the risks and possible complications. He was warm and pleasant. He took his time to answer my questions and he had a great sense of humor! He made me feel very comfortable. His assistant was also very helpful. I saw Dr. Bell for minor surgery. I had the most horrible experience of my life following this surgery and I fault Dr. Bell for not providing appropriate care both pre and post surgery. I did not receive proper advice on medication usage prior to surgery (I asked but was told to remain on immune system suppressing medication). I developed symptoms of infection within 18 hours of surgery and called for advice to be told that it was impossible to get infected this quickly. He didn't take my symptoms seriously even though I was extremely weak, so much so that I couldn't walk. Instead, of treating the growing infection(you could see the redness and blisters developing), he put me on a mild antibiotic. I was so sick the next morning, we called 9-1-1. I was in hospital for 5 days, spent 16 days on IV antibiotics and another 10 days on oral antibiotics. It has been the scariest experience in all of my life. My experience was regarding a breast reduction. The scarring that I have been left with is tremendous. I am lucky that I was married when this was completed. I am completely self conscious and it has dramatically & negatively affected my self image. The incisions were completely uneven and I can not wear a v-neck top because one of the scars (One side only) come up so high. Not only is the scarring thick, purple, and ugly it is also still very painful -after 3 years. J'ai été opérée par ce médecin pour réduire un sein beaucoup plus gros que l'autre, et même s'il reste encore une légère cicatrice, il paraît mieux qu'avant l'opération. Ensuite, je suis retournée le voir pour une liposuccion des hanches et du ventre. Pour les hanches, le résultat était excellent (j'avais comme on peut dire un pneu autour des hanches), j'ai perdu 2 pouces, mais pour le ventre, le résultat laissait à désirer. Apparemment que c'est normal que le ventre ne soit pas réussi du premier coup, mais en gros, j'étais satisfaite. J'ai décidé de faire corriger le ventre un an plus tard, mais l'anesthésie locale n'avait pas été bien effectuée et j'ai eu très mal. Quand je lui en ai parlé, il m'a dit d'arrêter de me plaindre ou il arrêtait tout. Après l'opération, j'ai dû mettre ma gaine toute seule sais aide, ce qui n'est pas normal du tout. I had a facelift 10 years ago by Dr. Waslen. It was a huge mistake, mostly my own for being vain. I didn't need one but he said I should get one now so no one would know I'd had one ??!! He rushed me in and I regret it totally. My face now has a bald look to it because he moved my hair back so far (although he said he wouldn't change my hairline). I have a lump in one cheek (scar tissue). I have small triangles of missing hair behind my ears. He also did a lower blepharoplasty (he recommended and said no extra charge) and now one eye doesn't close all the way when I sleep. After the surgery I went into a severe depression, wanted to die. C'est un chirurgien d'expérience qui étale ses nombreux diplômes dans sa salle d'attente. Il a fait des milliers d'opérations. Dans mon cas, il m'a opéré pour une déviation de la cloison nasale. Malheureusement, ma cloison est toujours croche aujourd'hui (plus d'un an plus tard). Cependant, le vrai problème avec ce médecin est qu'il ne prend pas le temps d'écouter. On n'a pas le temps de placer un mot qu'il nous fait changer de chaise pour nous examiner avec ses instruments. Il donne beaucoup d'explications, mais n'écoute pas. J'ai eu quelques rendez-vous et j'ai toujours voulu lui expliquer en détail comment je percevais le résultat de l'opération mais il m'a toujours interrompu rapidement en me disant qu'il fallait plutôt traiter la 'rhinite' et que ma cloison était 'droite comme une flèche'. My abdomen, in particular looks amazing after having a deep scar and pouch bulging over it removed. My new breasts seemed too big at first, but my husband says they are perfect and I am finally getting used to being a 34 B. The surgical facility and team were top notch and I felt I was in great hands for my after-care. After 3 months, Dr. K assures me that my numbness & soreness will resolve in time. I must have been to his office a dozen times and I NEVER had to wait very long, consultations are always free and they make you feel welcome to go for as many consulations as you like. His assistant is amazing. I would call the office periotically with crazy questions and she was always so helpful and patient. After my re-do surgery, when I left a message with a concern over the weekend, my call my always returned within a half hour. He is nice but honest which is very important. He also will arrange for you to speak to other patients if you want to hear their expereinces with Dr.Levine. I am type 1 diabetic and they took this serious and eased all my concerns. Dr. Middleton was my surgeon some years ago. At the time, he had major problems with 2 of his nurses. One climbed on top of a still-anaethsetized patient after surgery and straddled her while the other took a photo. Someone in the office reported this to the medical authorities and there was an investigation. The photo made it into the papers. This took place just after I had my procedure, so I was quite shocked at this unprofessional behaviour. At the time, I attributed his lack of punctuality (sometimes not showing at all for my follow-up appointments) to his legal/media problems, but apparently he still continues to be either late or a no-show. I didn't and wouldn't go back to him. I found the attitude from the entire office to be too casual and off-hand. I prefer a doctor that recognizes that I'm there for surgery not a haircut and exhibits a more respectful and medical demeanor. And, of course, losing the arrogant attitude would help.
