Dr. Guay is a nice man but not professional. After a mastectomy, Dr. Guay did surgery on my left breast giving me an implant. He also did a mastopexy on my right breast. He took out too much tissue and now my breast is ruined. My breast are totally different - I wish he had done the implant and then waited to do the mastopexy - I feel like a monster because I have one extremely hard breast implant and one badly scarred droopy breast. One is high, one is low. I am mad that Dr. Guay did not explain the surgery properly to me. I wish I could go back in time and ask him to do one surgery at a time. He should know better - but he is about doing every thing quickly. Not a patient man! My right breast was perfect and now it is all scarred. I have regrets in having the surgery and choosing Dr. Guay. He should be ashamed of himself for making me look this way. It was bad enough having one breast scarred but he went and made the other one look hideous that I can't look at myself

Dr. Guay repaired a cut tendon in my thumb. He was nice, especially before my surgery, but thereafter always seemed rushed and a bit impatient. I felt annoying asking him questions. He runs a clinic for follow-up with similar patients on Tuesdays at the Civic, in partnership with an Occupational Therapist. She is much more useful if you go see her at the Riverside during her normal hours. Dr. Guay's receptionist at the Riverside is amazing. All in all, I was well taken care of and the end result was pretty good. Very efficient care and he knows what he's doing.

My previous rating was deleted. He is not a very good doctor. I had surgery which he did not explain well. He is about doing as many surgeries as possible to get as much money as possible. He scarred me beyond belief. My breasts are worse than before surgery and he has not social skills. I cry every time I look in the mirror. Do not trust him - just because he gives you a quick appt. I would never recommend him. I hate my body and he is to blame! Even he said he screwed up!

i saw another plastic surgeon in ottawa and he kept me waiting for 2hrs, while he was at starbucks-i saw him there earlier, and then basically told me that i was too fat to have a breast reduction--when i lost 50lbs, give him a call. i then saw dr guay, he was the most caring surgeon i have ever met, he did not mention anything about my weight, i asked if it was a problem and he said that i would recover better if i had lost a little, it was up to me. he did the surgery, came to see me in the recovery and was fabulous, he gave me the most confidence i have ever had. i have now lost 40lbs and the girls have never looked this good.thank you dr guay you do say you are the best and i can attest to that
